Let's Say Grace
I pass by Grace Cathedral nearly everyday, and I finally had the opportunity to go inside when some friends asked me to serve as a witness to the signing of their marriage certificate. I wish the weather had a been a little nicer for photography, but here are a couple of shots I took on our way out. I want to go back and walk the labyrinth. It's supposed to be very relaxing.

Room With a View
It's been a while since I've posted on here, but I have a bunch of posts coming up! I just need to upload all of the pictures onto my computer. In the meantime, here are a couple of beautiful shots from the Fairmont earlier this week.

The pictures are pretty good for an iphone! I can't wait until I'm able to upgrade my sad Blackberry :-(

Mark It On Your Calendar
DailyCandy, I love you for letting me know about fun things around the city! (and for employing my hip friend, Jen, so she can keep me in the loop from afar ;-) I'm super excited to check out the movie and wine tasting night at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins hotel. Every Tuesday night, from next week through early September, the hotel will play a classic movie at Top of the Mark Lounge. All of the movies were filmed in or around the hotel; the first showing is Vertigo, and it looks like the rest of the lineup is amazing as well! What more could you ask for than complimentary wine tasting, old movies and a spectacular view??

Blame It on the Rain
If you haven't been to the Tonga Room at the Fairmont Hotel yet, you have to go! It's over-the-top cheesy and really fun (see floating band below). However, I will issue a brief but stern warning: while the drinks seem harmless, in their coconut shells or tiki-face mugs, they are potent.
But what's not to love about a dancefloor on the deck of an old ship, rainy thunderstorms with actual water and a band playing cover songs from a moving boat in the middle of the room?? Nothing, that's what!

A View from the Top
I decided to take advantage of the beautiful (but VERY windy) weather yesterday and walk home from work. I was rewarded with the gorgeous view below, but I woke up with a really sore knee and have been hobbling around all day like Quasimoto in brogues and a floral-print dress. This, naturally, leads me to worry that I'm more out of shape than I'd originally suspected. Or maybe my bone age is older than my birth age? Am I going to get osteoporosis? Am I already developing it? Maybe I should start drinking milk. But milk hurts my stomach. Maybe I should get more supportive shoes? But I don't want to walk around in Clarks before I'm 60! Or even after I'm 60. What do I do?!
Sitting here typing this, looking at my freshly polished nails (I decided to live it up a little and go with a sparkly clear rather than a standard clear), I'm thinking that maybe I should just take Muni next time. After all, why couldn't I just hop off the bus at the top of the hill and snap any number of photos with my outdated Blackberry (damn you, Verizon, and your outrageously-priced iPhones)? Although...then I wouldn't be getting as much exercise, which could lead to osteoporosis, per the preliminary Internet research I did on my condition. Argggggghh! This was supposed to be a lovely post about a lovely Nob Hill view. So...maybe just look at the picture?
