Saucy

Road trip!! Ok, so maybe it was only a five-mile road trip, but I always love going to Sausalito. The drive was especially fun with these girls.

China Camp

ft photo ft_zps94eb170d.jpg
China Camp State Park is located only a few miles outside of San Francisco and was home to a Chinese fishing village in the late 1800's. IMG_2885_zps70caaca6 photo IMG_2885_zps70caaca6.jpg
In all honesty, I had hoped there would be a bit more to explore, but the weather discouraged me from getting too adventurous (read: walking down to the water's edge and looking at the dock). But like most things, I think it would be worth a second look on a lovelier day.

Just Coastin'

Some shots from a weekend drive down the coast. Sunny, then cloudy...sunny, then cloudy... Either way, it was lovely.

We came upon a little town with (get this!) a delicious tacqueria INSIDE a gas station. Best burrito ever, I kid you not. Sorry about your stomach, C. Not everyone can enjoy gas station food the way I can. You're a lucky, lucky man.

It was a little strange that they stored the chilies in the back by the...feminine products...

Ready-to-drink wine. Just remove the lids!

Get Your Goat

Harley Farms, an adorable goat dairy farm, is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. They use the goat's milk for making everything from obvious things like goat cheese to not-so-obvious things like paint. Interesting... Anyway, I realize now that I didn't take any pictures of the actual goats, but here are a few shots of the charming (and woman-owned) farm.

Marin Mountaineers

This whole day started as a trip to the beach, and ended in a disappointing quest for the ideal combination of sand and sun. It was 90+ degrees up at the top of the mountain, but only 50-something down below. Once you get a glimpse of the fog highway running over the ocean, you'll see why.

Well, sadly it didn't work. Time to head home.
