Pilgrimage

I had to pleasure of hearing Annie Leibovitz speak at Herbst Theatre about her newest book, Pilgrimage. Listening to her talk about inspiration and reconnecting with what's important to oneself was really motivating. I've got to get to some of those things I've been meaning to get to... Sorry the pictures are so fuzzy and distorted. Photography wasn't allowed inside. How ironic.

Shh...it's starting!

Can you see her? I was very embarrassed to sneak this picture, so you're lucky there's one at all!

"It's not your camera until it's your camera."

Last night, I took the most amazingly helpful photography class from Isla Studio. It was everything I'd been searching for and more. Basically, what I'm trying to tell you is that my photos are going to start being uh-mazing. Hopefully... So get ready!
I only wish Macro Man could've been there.

Friends

I've really been missing my friends in New York a lot lately, and I'm not just saying that because I'm going to need a place to stay when I visit this summer... Good times, good times.
The last pic was taken by the amazing Judy of ShakeThatBoody.blogspot.com, aka the woman I look up to in all things photography and baking and pester for camera tips every chance I get.

Sometimes, overexposure can be a good thing

I'm still figuring out my camera, and I thought this picture of the flowers on my kitchen table actually turned out really cool. I say "actually" because I didn't mean for it to come out like this. I mean...look at my amazing photography skills!
