Away We Go

I spotted this daredevil (idiot?) flying down the 101 in Marin around New Year's. He certainly seems full of...vigor? I do like the way he's blazing ahead though, if in a more metaphorical sense. Each new year brings the promise - or threat - of new beginnings. I guess the annual turning of the clock prompts us all to pop our heads out of our own safe little cocoons and assess the current situation, although I've done most of my contemplating from the living room couch. In a perfect world...

I have this sort of highest-version-of-self vision where I pay all of my bills the very day they are due, get up early and workout before going into the office, never forget my multivitamin and definitely do not sit around in workout pants eating olives and imagining unavoidable circumstances whereby it would be impossible for me to get to the gym. Like a blackout. Or an olive overdose. Today doesn't appear to be the day I reach my personal, life-skills nirvana. But, maybe it wouldn't hurt to put the lid back on the olive jar and lace up my tennis shoes...
